Christie Allen
Hygienist & Therapist
GDC no.253347
Christie graduated from Newcastle University in 2019 with a Bsc(Hons) in oral health sciences with distinction. She holds a postgraduate level 7 diploma in facial aesthetics and specialises in non-surgical cosmetic procedures aimed at enhancing a patient’s appearance. Her skills include administering injectables like Botox and Profhilo and more recent advancements in regenerative medicine such as polynucleotide skin boosters.
Her expertise lie in natural undetectable injectables; treatments that enhance facial features or restore lost volume while maintaining a subtle, natural appearance. These injectables, such as neuromodulators like Botox, are expertly administered to ensure that the results blend seamlessly with the patient’s existing features, avoiding an overdone or artificial look. The goal is to enhance beauty without obvious signs of intervention, allowing the individual to look refreshed and youthful without it being apparent that any work was done. Achieving this effect requires skillful application by a trained professional who understands facial anatomy and how to tailor treatments to each person’s unique needs and aesthetics.
Christie is a qualified dental therapist her work at the practice involves regular check-ups, preventive treatments, and education tailored to each patient’s needs. Dental therapists are trained professionals who work alongside dentists to provide a range of services, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and simple restorative procedures like fillings. They play a crucial role in early detection of dental issues such as cavities or gum disease, helping to prevent more serious problems down the line. Additionally, dental therapists educate patients on proper brushing and flossing techniques, diet choices, and other habits that contribute to long-term oral health. By promoting good dental hygiene and providing timely interventions, dental therapists help patients maintain healthy teeth and gums, contributing to overall well-being.
Outside of Smileworks Christie is a big lover of dogs and cooking and enjoys spending time with her black Labradors.
